Stoke City forward Michael Owen is struggling to earn a new contract at the Potters and will be released this summer according to The Telegraph.
Owen has made just one start for Stoke this season and has once again seen his year ruined by injuries.
The 33-year-old is running out of time to save his career as it appears he will be looking for another new club in the summer once his year-long deal at Stoke runs out in May.
The former England international was expected to play some part as the Potters travel to Fulham today but a thigh injury in training will once again rule him out of making an appearance.
The striker is convinced he still has a lot to give to a Premier League club and may have a few offers in the summer, but a new career in the media and horse racing seem to be the future for the once-rapid Liverpool and Real Madrid man.
