According to the Telegraph, Manchester United have seen a £40m bid for Aaron Wan-Bissaka rejected by Crystal Palace, who are desperate to keep hold of their 21-year-old sensation.
What’s the word, then?
The Red Devils are now said by the Guardian to be weighing up whether or not to make an improved offer for the England Under-21 star, who enjoyed a phenomenal 2018/19 campaign with the Eagles and won their Player of the Season award ahead of Wilfried Zaha.
Wan-Bissaka became a first-team regular last season after making his breakthrough in the 2017/18 campaign, and has since emerged as one of the most impressive right-backs in the Premier League.

The Palace academy graduate would be an ideal solution to solving United’s issues at right-back, an area that looks extremely problematic following Ashley Young’s dismal 2018/19 campaign and Antonio Valencia’s departure.
United must move quickly
It has been reported by the Telegraph that Palace will not sell both Zaha and Wan-Bissaka this summer, their two prized assets.
But the south Londoners could be tempted by an offer in the region of £60m, as sources believes Palace will view that figure as too good to turn down for their local star.
Zaha, however, has a firm £80m price tag slapped on his head, a figure that will need to be met if the Ivory Coast international is going anywhere this summer – he has admitted that he would like to play Champions League football.
If another club manages to stump up the cash for Zaha and a deal gets done, there is next to no chance that Wan-Bissaka goes anywhere with three years left on his contract, so United really need to move fast on this one if they are to land their coveted right-back target.
£60m will surely look like a bargain in a few years given how quickly Wan-Bissaka has taken to life at the top level. And who knows, there could well be a double advantage to this if sorting a deal for the defender quickly stops one of Palace’s Premier League rivals from strengthening with a swoop for Zaha.
