Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has revealed that he is enjoying the race to finish in the top four, and feels that next season’s Champions League qualifiers may not be decided until the last day of the season.
Spurs are currently in fourth place, two points behind Arsenal and three ahead of Chelsea and Newcastle; Redknapp knows that it is all still to play for.
“It’s a four-way fight for the final two Champions League places; Newcastle are bang in with a chance,” he told The Telegraph.
“I think it could go to the last day of the season. It’s going to be very tight. Some of the other teams have got to play each other, which means they’ll knock each other about a bit, but Newcastle have come and they have kept going.
“We’ve got a good goal difference; there’s nothing between us, Arsenal and Chelsea, but it’s four points to Newcastle because of that. But you just don’t know, you can’t tell what’s going to happen looking at the fixtures.
“It’s all to play for and that’s the way it should be. It’s got to be exciting. I’m enjoying it. It’s just good to be involved in it. You don’t want to be sat in the middle of the table with nothing to play for,” he confessed.
Tottenham take on Norwich at White Hart Lane this afternoon.
